How Weld Talent Works for Job Seekers
Weld Talent is a recruiter, not a job board. When you apply, a real person reviews your experience, talks to you about what you're looking for, and only puts you in front of employers where there's an actual fit. Here's exactly how the process works.
Our process
- 01Apply
Submit your application to any open role or send us your resume directly. We capture your tickets, certifications, recent project history, and what you're looking for next.
- 02Screening Call
A Weld Talent recruiter calls you within 1–3 business days for a 15–25 minute conversation. We review experience, verify certifications, and understand your career goals, location preferences, and comp expectations.
- 03Employer Introduction
When we have a fit, we present you to the employer with context — what you've done, what you're looking for, and why we think the match works. We don't blast your resume around.
- 04Interview Process
We coordinate scheduling, prep you on what the employer cares about, and give you honest context on the project, the team, and the role. After the interview we collect feedback from both sides.
- 05Job Offer
We negotiate on your behalf, support you through reference and background checks, and stay in touch through your first weeks on the job to make sure the role is what we said it would be.
What we look for in candidates
- Verifiable trade qualification or relevant project experience
- Current safety tickets (WHMIS, working at heights, first aid as required)
- Two recent supervisor references
- Clear communication about what you want next
- Reliability — show up to interviews and respond to messages
What it costs you
Nothing. Employers pay our fees. As a candidate, applying through Weld Talent is free and always will be.
What we will and won't do
We will: tell you honestly when a role doesn't fit, give you market context on comp, and keep your information confidential. We won't: send your resume anywhere without your permission, oversell a role to close a placement, or push you toward jobs that don't match what you said you wanted.
