Description
Panda Insulation is hiring an experienced, licensed Spray Foam Insulation Applicator for full-time work in Ottawa and the surrounding area. The ideal candidate can work independently, takes pride in the quality of their application, and understands how spray foam fits within the overall building envelope. This role offers strong long-term opportunity with a growing insulation company. Panda Insulation operates Graco Reactors and Fusion AP, PC and FX spray guns.
Responsibilities
Apply spray foam in residential and custom home construction\nWork on basements and foundation walls, rim joists, exterior wall assemblies, attics, rooflines and cathedral ceilings\nPrepare substrates and follow proper application procedures\nOperate and troubleshoot spray foam equipment\nPerform daily equipment and spray gun maintenance\nMaintain quality control and identify potential building-envelope issues
Requirements
Valid Canadian spray polyurethane foam installer certification/licence\nExperienced applicator able to work independently\nStrong understanding of building envelopes and building science\nKnowledge of insulation, air barriers, vapour control, moisture management and thermal bridging\nAbility to recognize potential building-envelope issues before application\nExperience reading plans and understanding insulation specifications\nExperience with spray foam equipment operation and troubleshooting
